- No sign-up
- Works offline
How to split a PDF
- Open the Split tool and drop in a PDF.
- Choose a mode: By Range (for example 1-3, 7, 10-12), All Pages, or Every N Pages.
- Press Split & Download to get a ZIP with one PDF per part.
Why use PDF Tools Pro
Three split modes
Extract custom ranges, burst every page into its own file, or cut the document into equal chunks.
Each range becomes a file
Enter several comma-separated ranges and each one is saved as a separate PDF inside the ZIP.
Lossless
Pages are copied without re-rendering, so text stays selectable and images keep their quality.
Local and offline
Splitting happens in your browser or the Windows app, even with no internet connection.
Free and Pro
Free plan: 2 splits a day on PDFs up to 30 pages and 10 MB. Pro removes these limits. Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
Questions
How do I extract just one page?
Use By Range and type the page number, for example 4. You'll get a ZIP containing that single page as a PDF.
Is my document uploaded?
No. The PDF is split on your device and never leaves it.
Can I remove pages instead of extracting them?
Yes. Use the Reorder Pages tool to select and delete pages, then save the shorter PDF.
Does it work with large PDFs?
Free use covers PDFs up to 30 pages. Pro handles longer documents; the practical limit is your device's memory.
