PDF Chat – Privacy Policy

Android app com.pdftools.pdf_tools · Last updated: 6 October 2026

This policy explains what the PDF Chat Android app ("PDF Chat", "we") collects, why, who processes it, and the choices you have. It applies only to the PDF Chat Android app.

1. Summary

2. Data stored on your device

Documents you open in AI features are copied into the app's private storage, together with the extracted text, your chat history, saved summaries and study progress. This data stays on your device, is excluded from Android backups, and is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

3. Documents and AI processing

When you use an AI feature:

Do not upload documents you are not allowed to share with a third-party service. AI answers can be wrong. Check important information against the original document. You can report any answer with the flag button under it.

5. Ads and consent

Free users see ads from Google AdMob. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, we ask for your consent through Google's consent form before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy options. Elsewhere you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Premium users see no ads. See how Google uses data from apps that use its services.

6. Sharing

We share data only with the processors listed above, so they can run the app's features, and when the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.

7. Retention

8. Your choices and data deletion

You can delete local data at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it. Deleting a chat from your history in the app also deletes that document from our server. To delete everything held on our servers (uploaded documents, credit balance, account record), email neetpav786@gmail.com from inside the app (Settings → Contact Developer). We will complete the request within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct or port your data, or to object to processing. Contact us at the same address.

9. Security

All traffic between the app and our server uses HTTPS. Access to our AI server requires a signed Firebase token.

10. Children

PDF Chat is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

11. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
